It is best known for its issue tracking application, Jira, and its team collaboration and wiki product, Confluence. The company's acquisition of Bitbucket (a web-based version control repository hosting service) in September 2010 has also ensured it has remained popular with developers.
Atlassian was founded by Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar in 2002, and was bootstrapped on AUD 10,000 in credit card debt.
