Coles Group Limited (Coles) is an Australian supermarket operator with over 2,500 retail outlets throughout the country. Coles operates through three segments: supermarkets, express, and liquor. For the financial year end 30 June 2019, supermarkets represented the company's largest segment, accounting for 81.18% (AUD 30,992.6 million) of sales revenue.

Along with the retail of many branded products, Coles also offers its own collection of products through Coles Own Brand, which represents a portfolio of food, drink and non-food product brands owned by Coles.

On 23 November 2007, Coles Group was acquired by Wesfarmers and remained as part of Wesfarmers until 5 October 2018, when it was spun-off. The spun-off entity (Coles Group Limited) was comprised of Coles Supermarkets, Coles Online, Coles Express, Coles Liquor, Coles' financial division and a portion of flybuys, a retail loyalty program.

Coles is headquartered at 800-838 Toorak Road, Hawthorn East, Victoria 3123, Australia.

Operating Segments:

Supermarkets - The supermarkets segment is engaged in the retail of fresh food, groceries and general merchandise. Coles Supermarkets operate throughout Australia as a full service supermarket retailer with more than 800 stores across the country. The supermarkets segment also includes Coles Online and Coles Financial Services. For the financial year end 30 June 2019, the supermarkets segment accounted for 81.18% (AUD 30,992.6 million) of sales revenue.

Express - The express segment operates convenience stores and acts as a commission agent for retail fuel sales. Coles Express is a fuel and convenience retailer that has over 700 locations across Australia. For the financial year end 30 June 2019, the express segment accounted for 10.42% (AUD 3,978.4 million) of sales revenue.

Liquor - The liquor segment is engaged in liquor retailing, including online delivery services. Through its liquor segment, Coles acts as a national liquor retailer with 900 stores trading as Liquorland, Vintage Cellars, First Choice Liquor and First Choice Liquor Market and as an online liquor retailer. For the financial year end 30 June 2019, the liquor segment accounted for 8.39% (AUD 3,204.8 million) of sales revenue.
