Japfa Ltd is a Singapore-based agriculture-food company that employs over 38,000 people across an integrated network of farming, processing and distribution facilities in Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, India and China. Japfa Ltd specialises in producing dairy, protein staples (poultry, beef, swine and aquaculture) and packaged food.
Japfa operates a vertically integrated structure that encompasses: upstream operations - feeding and breeding of livestock and the production of animal feed; midstream operations - milking and fattening of livestock; and downstream operations - processing and distribution of branded dairy products (Greenfields) and branded consumer food (SoGood).
Japfa Ltd has replicated its Indonesian dairy business in China, with operations controlled by wholly-owned subsidiaries AustAsia Investment Holdings Pte Ltd (AIH) and AIH2 Pte Ltd (AIH2). According to statements made by Japfa, it is "now amongst the leading producers of premium raw milk in the country (China), commanding one of the highest milk yields." In the year end 31 December 2018, China accounted for USD 348.6 million in total revenue, up 15.17% from the previous year.

Animal protein - The animal protein segment includes production of poultry, swine, beef and aquaculture as well as animal feed. The animal protein segment is split into two sections: animal protein Indonesia, which represents the operations of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (see Japfa Ltd subsidiary segment); and animal protein other, which refers to the animal protein operations in Vietnam, India, Myanmar and China. In the year end 31 December 2019, the animal protein segment accounted for 83.19% (USD 3,236.3 million) of total revenue.
Dairy - The dairy segment includes production of raw milk in China and Indonesia and downstream milk products such as fresh milk, UHT milk and cheeses to consumers in Indonesia and other countries in Asia. In the year end 31 December 2019, the dairy segment accounted for 11.80% (USD 459.1 million) of total revenue.
Consumer foods - The consumer food segment uses the animal protein products that are produced in-house as raw materials for downstream consumer food operations which includes the processing and distribution of branded dairy products (Greenfields) and branded consumer food (SoGood). In the year end 31 December 2019, the consumer foods segment accounted for 4.89% (USD 190.1 million) of total revenue.
Others - Others include corporate office, central purchasing office and consolidation adjustments which are not directly attributable to a particular business segment. In the year end 31 December 2019, the others segment accounted for 0.13% (USD 5.0 million) of total revenue.
