Iron Ore - Rio Tinto Iron Ore produces five iron ore products in Western Australia including the Pilbara Blend used in steelworks as sinter plant feed or direct blast furnace feed. For the year end 31 December 2019, the iron ore segment accounted for 59.64% (USD 25,745 million) of total revenue.
Aluminium - The aluminium segment operates bauxite mines and alumina refineries and smelters in Canada. For the year end 31 December 2019, the aluminium segment accounted for 23.57% (USD 10,175 million) of total revenue.
Industrial minerals - The industrial minerals segment includes borates, titanium dioxide and salt. For the year end 31 December 2019, the industrial minerals segment accounted for 5.19% (USD 2,239 million) of total revenue.
Copper - Rio Tinto's copper operations extract, process and refine copper, supplying customers in China, Japan and the US. For the year end 31 December 2019, the copper segment accounted for 4.69% (USD 2,023 million) of total revenue.
Gold - For the year end 31 December 2019, the gold segment accounted for 1.55% (USD 669 million) of total revenue.
Diamonds - Rio Tinto operates two diamond mines known as Argyle located in Australia and Diavik located in Canada. For the year end 31 December 2019, the diamonds segment accounted for 1.43% (USD 619 million) of total revenue.
Other - For the year end 31 December 2019, other revenue accounted for 3.93% (USD 1,695 million) of total revenue.
