CapitaLand Limited is an owner and manager of a global property portfolio comprising integrated developments, shopping malls, lodging, offices, homes, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and funds.
The principal activities of the company are those relating to investment holding and consultancy services as well as the corporate headquarters which gives direction, provides management support services and integrates the activities of its subsidiaries. The principal activities of the significant subsidiaries of the company are those relating to investment holding, real estate development, investment in real estate financial products and real estate assets, investment advisory and management services as well as management of real estate assets.
CapitaLand Limited is incorporated in Singapore and has its registered office at 168 Robinson Road, #30-01, Capital Tower, Singapore 068912.
In January 2019, CapitaLand acquired Ascendas-Singbridge Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings, for SGD 11 billion. Ascendas-Singbridge was an investment holding company that, for the year ending 31 March 2019 generated revenue of SGD 772.2 million and made profit after tax of SGD 613 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Temasek received approximately SGD 6.0 billion, which was satisfied by 50% in cash (SGD 3.0 billion) and 50% in new CapitaLand shares (SGD 3.0 billion). As a result, Temasek Holdings became the ultimate parent of CapitaLand Limited.
